IT'S TIME FOR A MAYOR WHO GOVERNS FOR THE WHOLE CITY
It's time for change in Garden Grove. As your mayor, I will pledge to govern in the interests of the entire city – not just for the developers and hotels in the Disneyland Resort District.
Our current economic policy of dedicating almost all our resources to help to the hotels along Harbor Boulevard has proven disastrous. Shopping centers in the rest of the city sit vacant; small businesses are struggling to stay afloat in the middle of this pandemic; and Garden Grove lost about 25% of the city’s source of revenue when the hotels were forced to shut down. It's never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket, and that's exactly what investing all of our economic development effort into the Harbor Boulevard resorts is doing.
If elected mayor for Garden Grove, I will immediately redirect our economic development efforts to expand businesses across the entire city, and in a variety of different industries. I pledge to fight against high density housing, and I pledge to be the strong and decisive mayor Garden Grove needs in these trying times. -Phat Bui
